Brothers David and Giovanni Roman took their family recipes and opened a cozy spot where people can enjoy delicious Italian cuisine. The décor is heavy on tradition (chandeliers and wall-to-wall framed photographs), with a touch of whimsy (lights strung across the room). This is solid Italian food made the way the Romans' grandmother used to do it. Nothing fancy here, just huge portions of good home-cooked Italian cuisine served by a friendly, efficient staff. Come in for Martini Monday, Pasta Tuesday and Wine Wednesday. Currently the Costa Mesa location offers gluten-free pasta and vegetarian and vegan options. Look for the other locations to fall in line very soon.

I love the ambiance, lighting, chandeliers, style and food at Roman Cucina in Costa Mesa. It's open nightly for dinner and offers valet parking too. And must also mention their House Dressing -- It's unforgettable and probably brings me back the most.
